01 · BEFORE THE VOWS

Close enough to
remember everything.

The portraits hold onto the small things: the pause before they meet, Aisha’s hands against the embroidery, the way Jiv turns toward her beneath the trees. The surroundings are beautiful, but the closeness is what stays.

02 · THE HEIRLOOM PALLA

What connected them
was already loved.

For their Anand Karaj, Aisha chose a maroon silk chunni that had belonged to Jiv’s late mother. Jiv had kept it after losing her. Aisha preserved its colour and character, adjusting it by hand so it could become the palla connecting them through the four Laavaan.

Because the chunni was shorter than a traditional palla, they walked a little closer together. In her account to Manifest, Aisha describes this as a way of carrying Jiv’s mother and her story into their marriage.

03 · THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM

A story carried
by more than two.

In the photographs after the ceremony, Cancún becomes the backdrop again: palms overhead, friends gathering, family walking together. The film carries the movement and voices; the still frames keep the feeling close.

04 · THE JOURNEY TO CANCÚN

Four days, one
shared horizon.

Aisha Gandhi and Jiv Prince brought family and friends to Cancún in April 2026 for a four-day celebration. The place gave their story open water, soft light, and room for everyone who had travelled to be together.

Before the wedding day, there were moments on the water. Then came the quieter change of pace: embroidery laid out, flowers and jewellery in the morning light, and Aisha getting ready for the ceremony.
